Piper & Trooper
While on vacation in New England last fall, I received an inquiry for a session for a daughter and her childhood horse who would soon be going to a new home as she had outgrown him. She mentioned he was a Quarter Pony, which was what my first horse was.
I knew I would be making time to do this session.
Upon walking up to Trooper’s stall, a flood of memories came creeping in. Trooper looked nearly identical to my first horse, Buddy.
Though our session was bittersweet, it reminded me of why I do what I do. I never had professional photos of my first horse. I want to be able to provide beautiful memories, even if a horse is only in your life for a chapter.
Trooper went to his new home shortly after our session, but these photos will last a lifetime.
